Occlusal Splint - Soft/Hard

An occlusal splint, also called ‘night guard’ is a dental device that is worn over the teeth, typically at night, to protect the teeth and jaws from damage caused by grinding, clenching, or misalignment. It is designed to help manage and alleviate symptoms of conditions like bruxism (teeth grinding), temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD), and other occlusal (bite) problems.

Our Soft/hard Occlusal Splints are made with a soft layer of Erkodent foil from Germany and a hard acrylic layer.

This is our most popular type of occlusal splint. Most dentists prefer this choice because it offers both comfort for the patient and hard protection for the teeth.

Smile Academy offers 3 different types of occlusal splints:

Optional: Canine guidance – ensures the canines are correctly positioned to guide the bite effectively.

Lead time: 7-14 days

Note for Dentists

Always let Smile Academy know which type of splint you need. If this is unspecified, we will provide a soft/hard splint.

Please let us know if you require canine guidance. This is not included by default.
